Drink Water!

Did you know that when you travel by air, it is important to stay hydrated?  Why?

Air travelers experience physiological changes due to increases in altitude and cabin pressure. And, the recirculating air in an airplane creates a dry environment. Ugh.

Staying hydrated will help you feel more comfortable, ward off illness and allow you to have more energy when flying. So bottom line…. stay hydrated and follow these easy tips:

  1. Avoid drinks with sugar, including alcohol.

  2. Eat foods with high water content, such as fruits and soup.

  3. Bring a water bottle with you and fill it when you get to your gate.  Then drink it all gone! Fill again!
